Message from the Chairman of the Foundation

Since established in 1997, Polytechnic NSC Surabaya as one of the private polytechnic in Surabaya has implemented graduation as many as 12 (twelve) times and 683 alumni of Ahli Madya (associate) have graduated. Almost all graduates have been absorbed in the business world. Great trust from the business world always motivates us to continue increasing the academic quality, providing educational facilities, developing Human Resource, and improving curriculum.

 

In the aspect of academic management, hard working and development efforts which are continually done by the leaders and all the elements academicians of Polytechnic NSC Surabaya during the past two years have shown good results. This is proved by accreditation of D3 Program of Hospitality Department and D3 Program  of Business Administration by the National Accreditation Board (BAN-PT). Two other departments -  D3 Program of Computer Engineering Department and D3 Program of Accounting Department are in the process of preparation for accreditation. Hopefully, in the near future all departments can be accredited by BAN-PT. Thus, the legality and capacity of Polytechnic NSC Surabaya can be reliable, and equal with other polytechnics, including public polytechnics

 

As a management of foundation administering the Polytechnic NSC Surabaya, we realize that the academic quality can only be achieved if it continues developing educational facilities. Therefore, we are fully committed to continue pursuing the development and improvement of learning facilities to be able to create a conducive academic atmosphere, which in turn will be able to produce the alumni who are ready to work in their respective fields. Over the past two years, the foundation continues providing an adequate budget for the rejuvenation facilities and classroom to be more comfortable.

In addition to the facilities, support of lecturers with adequate qualifications is also a prerequisite for the implementation process of the transfer of knowledge, transfer of skills, and the transfer of values. Thus, we continue providing opportunities to each lecturer to increase scientific capacity through education to a higher level. However, to maintain the continuity of teaching and learning on campus, the learning task of lecturer should consider priorities.

 

In addition to the two above-mentioned aspects, no less important is the suitability of the curriculum to the needs of the business world. Therefore, we always ask the leader of the Polytechnic NSC Surabaya and its staff to constantly adjust periodically based on curriculum development of the job market. The leader should continue communicating with all stakeholders, especially the business world to understand the changing trends of competence and qualifications. Then, the curriculum is always adaptable to a changing environment.
