Personality development training is training that is intended for students of the Polytechnic NSC Surabaya to equip students with soft skills before entering the workforce. The training is especially given to new students who want to work while in college. With the work of the new students will earn an income, and the income will be used to finance his life and his studies. After training for two (2) days, students will be distributed to the companies that need workers, especially companies that have cooperated with the Polytechnic NSC Surabaya. Training activities and the distribution to have a job carried out by a working unit in Polytechnic NSC Surabaya named HUDERS or Human Development and Recruitment Services. Starting in August 2015, HUDERS training activities centered on Campus 2 of the Polytechnic NSC Surabaya which are in Ruko Galeri Bukit Indah Rk 03 No. 39 Pakuwon Surabaya.
Training activities and the distribution to have a job done by this HUDERS has been underway since 2011 until now, and has been perceived benefits for new students of Polytechnic NSC Surabaya who want to work while in college. Students can work in the morning until late afternoon and in the evening have a lecture, or lectures in the morning and work at night. Thus they can adjust to the lecture time with working hours in the company.
Another benefit to be achieved by the Polytechnic NSC Surabaya through a work program while in college is to accelerate the reduction of unemployment in the city of Surabaya and help the children to continue their education to a higher level. Moreover, it can also help simplify the companies in obtaining employment.
In the personality development training is taught about the motivation to be successful, how to handle job interviews, inter-personal skills that will be useful in the workplace, and grooming that fit the profile of a worker. After this training, the students will face the selections which have made by the companies that need workers.
By working and going to college, students will become more mature, have a responsibility, able to manage work time and study time, can apply course material to the appropriate job, and many other benefits. Hopefully the Polytechnic NSC Surabaya students can excel in the workplace and perform well academically.
Looking forward, hopefully there will be more people who can get a job through HUDERS and Polytechnic NSC Surabaya so that the existence of HUDERS and Polytechnic NSC Surabaya can be beneficial for people, communities, and companies in the city of Surabaya. Aamiin
