How Vision and Mission Hospitality Studies at Polytechnic NSC Surabaya?
Vision study program hospitality business is a key partner in the development of quality human resources and global competitiveness in the field of hospitality.
Mission program as hospitality studies:
1. held his diploma three hospitality education program which refers to the competence standards and the needs of the business world and the world of the hospitality industry in particular
2. To collaborate with stakeholders in the fulfillment of the human resources profession who are competent and have a winning attitude in the field of hospitality
What was the course of hospitality?
Existing hospitality studies program at the Polytechnic NSC Surabaya provides all materials related to hospitality, such as front office (the front office), food and beverage service, food product, pastry bakery, and housekeeping (maid). We have used the hotel's own laboratory Polytechnic students NSC Surabaya especially hospitality courses to conduct practical activities related to the hotel. We provide also additional material in the course of hospitality such as entrepreneurship and interpersonal skills, all of which are summarized in the structure of the course curriculum NSC Surabaya Polytechnic hospitality. The weight that we provide in the course hospitality is 60% practice and 40% theory. In accordance with the Indonesian National Qualifications Framework (KKNI) that diploma three students to deliver to the supervisor level or level 5, we also provide materials related to level 5, as I mentioned earlier example, interpersonal skills and management. Our hope is what the world demands of business and industry will be achieved with a level 5 or supervisor.

Furthermore, we have also a restaurant in our lab, the students used to practice relating to the subject of food and beverage service, where they can practice set up table, napkin folding, and others related to the restaurant, as well as a bar. Hospitality studies program at the Polytechnic NSC Surabaya provides bar material is more focused on mocktail that mixes non alcoholic beverages plus the barista making coffee. Then there is the lab associated with the front office, where there is no front desk used to the receptionist, then there is also a laboratory associated with the house keeping or housekeeping, where we have the student practice room as a place to conduct making the bed, then make up room, and so forth.
What lecturer hospitality courses?
To produce graduates hospitality courses, we in the process can not be separated from the role of the lecturer. In the course of hospitality, I as chairman of the study program, make kolabarosi especially for subjects related to the hotel. I mengkolaborasi faculty academics with practitioners, support each other so that graduates hope we expected, graduates expected that all stakeholders will be fulfilled. The material we provide is always up to date, the lecturer is always required to make innovations in terms of learning techniques, and we follow the development of the era. We change media and learning techniques so that students feel comfortable in conducting lectures at the Polytechnic NSC Surabaya.
I as the head of the study program also provides guidance to lecturers to make as comfortable as possible in the learning process, because what, here more practical than theoretical, especially for students who are already working. We expect them to be comfortable to college so there is no reduction in the number of students because they feel they have a comfortable campus, then penyampain of the faculty member teaching material is also comfortable, and all provide good service to students.
